Description:

Software powers the world, but insecure software threatens safety, trust, and economic growth. The Open Web Application Security Project (OWASP) is dedicated to making application security visible by empowering individuals and organizations to make informed decisions about true application security risks. OWASP Foundation is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit worldwide charitable organization, OWASP does not endorse or recommend commercial products or services. Instead, we allow our community to remain vendor neutral with the collective wisdom of the best individual minds in security worldwide. This simple rule is the key to our success since 2001. To present at one of our monthly meetings or to host a workshop, send us your ideas! Our participants are most interested in the following topics:- Using Security Tools- Writing Secure Code- Security of Emerging Technologies What Is A Continuous-Call-For-Speakers? OWASP Ottawa is always looking for great speakers and content. So we made a decision to move to a Continuous Call For Speakers (CCFS). This means that we are continuously open for talks/workshops and you can submit as many abstracts as you like, whenever you like. Benefits Of CCFS You can submit whenever the inspiration hits! Inspiration and creativity are fickle things! With CCFS you can apply to speak at an OWASP Ottawa meetup whenever your creativity is free-flowing. How Does It Work?  When you submit a talk/workshop, it will then be considered for future OWASP Ottawa meetups.  Your paper will only be considered for the current year.
