Description:

Furnal Equinox is a Toronto-based convention celebrating the arts and culture of the furry fandom and animal enthusiasts, held during the Spring Equinox weekend in March. From the first convention in 2010 which took place at the former Doubletree Toronto Airport Hotel, it has grown into an event with over 2200 local and international attendees and costumers and hosts a wide variety of events and performances. As a non-profit event, the convention’s focus is primarily on sharing and celebrating anthropomorphic (humanized) arts and culture, while simultaneously fundraising and spreading awareness for Ontario-based animal charities that partner with the convention. Whether you’re a die-hard fan of animals or looking to explore this colourful community, there’s a little something for everyone. All speakers are expected to follow our Code of Conduct that can be found here: https://www.furnalequinox.com/code-of-conduct/ What we expect of our speakers can be broken down as follows: A solid understanding of the material you wish to present in your proposed panel. A clear and concise outline of the material you are presenting. A clear and concise description of your panel that gives attendees a clear understanding of who is presenting, what is being presented, and some text to build hype for your panel. That you are flexible with when you can run your panel, though if there is a time you unable to run your proposed panel, that you make the programming team aware in the notes section of the submission form. What can you expect from us? An adequate space in which to make your presentation. Incentives based upon the number of panels we've accepted, submitted by you.  To be supplied, within our means, what is needed to best give your presentation. This specifically pertains to microphones, audio and video.
