Description:

About HashiConfHashiConf is three days of technical sessions, product updates, hands-on training, certification, demos, time with HashiCorp engineers, special events, and more.Attendees exchange ideas and technical knowledge, connect with like-minded people, and learn from other community members who use HashiCorp tools and products every day. HashiConf EU takes place on 9-10 June 2020, with an optional Training Day on the 8th. Who attends HashiConf? Each year, attendees include DevOps and system engineers, architects, security professionals, managers and directors, who work with cloud infrastructure and cloud-native architecture. Looking for HashiConf US?The HashiConf US Call for Papers is over at https://sessionize.com/hashiconf-us-2020/. We are bringing together the most passionate HashiCorp users along with new, interesting people to showcase how people use our tools to solve their challenges. While we do not shy away from technical deep-dives, audience experience with HashiCorp products varies from having read about them to running them at scale in production across our product suite.About youFrom creating customer success with new solutions, to solving challenges around security, scalability, hybrid and multi-cloud management, emerging patterns around serverless and service mesh, as well as organizational and human impact of technology, the focus of HashiConf is on defining the future of infrastructure and we want to hear from speakers how infrastructure enables innovation. We look forward to hearing about practical use cases of how you (or your company) use HashiCorp products, what challenges you faced, and the workarounds you found to solve them. We value technical deep-dives, stories of how you use our technology, and retrospectives from your failures!Topics we’d love to hear aboutTopics may range from the internals of our software to high-level use cases. Talks do not have to be exclusively about HashiCorp products, they can cover the broader industry and non-technical topics as well. Topics we love to hear more about include:Scaling distributed and microservice environments, including service discovery, networking and container schedulersSolving security and secret bottlenecksManaging infrastructure across hybrid and multi-cloud, as well as cloud migrationsIntroducing Infrastructure-as-Code to on-prem environmentsDynamic application configuration at runtimeEmerging architectural patterns, like service mesh and serverlessOrganizational impacts of DevOps and Infrastructure-as-CodeSession formatsTalks will be 30 or 50 minutes. 30-minute talks are ideal for implementation and customer stories, while 50-minute talks are great for technical deep-dives. Please keep your session to-the-point, only including relevant context. More concise talks often bring more value to the audience. Please do not include dedicated Q&A time in your talk, as that tends to be lost in translation for those who follow the livestream or watching the recording.Session selectionAll talks will be voted upon anonymously (only abstracts and titles will be seen) to avoid selection bias by a team of HashiCorp employees. Tips for submitting a session proposalPlease commit to following our code of conduct before submitting.Write author biographies in the third-person. e.g. "Sally is an engineer" instead of "I am an engineer".Proposals can be edited after submitting to correct errors, but please make sure to submit sessions with all necessary information included.Travel assistanceIf your talk is selected, we are happy to offer you a free conference pass. If you do not have company sponsorship, we offer assistance with airfare costs and hotel accommodations.Inclusivity and accessibilityWe strive to make HashiConf an accessible and inclusive event. This includes additional support for our lineup of speakers where needed. If there is anything our team can do to make HashiConf more accessible or inclusive, please let us know!If you have any questions, you may reach us at speakers@hashicorp.com.Good luck!
