TeamsFest | October 2020

Location: Online

Date created: Jun 18, 2020

TeamsFest is a 100% free, 100% community driven conference dedicated to Microsoft Teams. It aims to bring together exceptional technical talent and thought leaders to democratise Teams knowledge, encourage participation in the Teams community and give those who are struggling financially an opportunity to attend a first class Teams conference We are looking for sessions for the following tracksAdoption & ManagementSecurity & ComplianceMeetings, Calling and DevicesDevelopment & The Power PlatformProductivity & MobilityEducation & CommunityAll sessions will be either 30 - 40 minutes in length. Both should accommodate time for Q & A All sessions will be in EnglishWhilst we are allow multiple submissions, only one will be accepted in the interests of fairness to other speakersTo be as transparent as possible, we are currently looking at accepting around 35 sessions for this particular event. You may want to consider this prior to submission. In addition, we have historically received high volumes of submissions for the adoption track which should be something for your consideration. We can also confirm that we will look to confirm acceptance and rejection as soon as possible after the call for speakers ends and you can be guaranteed on receiving a response. Some other guidelinesThis is a community event, and as such we will not be accepting corporate sessions to promote third party productsIf you are submitting multiple sessions we would recommend submitting across tracks as opposed to multiple sessions on a single trackWe value the time speakers put into their sessions, and will 100% respect that a few may not want their session recorded. If the submission is successful, we will not record these sessions. However, as a community event which is looking to democratise knowledge, the ability for us to put the session on demand after the event - especially as TeamsFest is an event which runs simultaneous sessions, will be a factor in us choosing sessionsFor the productivity track, we are interested in seeing how Teams works with other applications in the Microsoft 365 stack
