Join fellow OpenStreetMap enthusiasts at the State of the Map US in Tucson! Hosted this year by the University of Arizona, there will be opportunities for networking, learning, socializing and more! State of the Map US is the biggest and best gathering of OpenStreetMap community members from across the country, and we would love for you to participate. We are calling on all members of the OpenStreetMap community to share your ideas and session proposals for State of the Map US 2020. Whether you are brand new to OSM or have been a core contributor since the beginning, we want to hear from you! If you have never proposed a topic for a conference before, please don’t think it’s not for you. Every year, about half of the sessions at State of the Map US are by first-timers. The typical attendee at State of the Map is passionate about maps and interested in your story! If your proposal doesn't fit neatly in there, no worries! Please submit it anyway and surprise us.The program will include space for keynote speakers, panels, 20 min talks, 5 min lightning talks, 1+ hour workshops, birds of a feather sessions, and there’s even room for improvisational sessions, outdoor activities, and whatever idea you might have. Do you want to host a workshop to share your mapping or technical expertise with fellow mappers? Are you interested in discussing an OpenStreetMap related topic in depth with like-minded folks? Do you want to do an outdoor event? Let us know! Seven years of past programs are online if you’re looking for inspiration: 2019, 2018, 2017, 2016, 2015, 2014, 2013. Should our conference be impacted, we will look to postpone the event until early 2021. Should you be chosen as a speaker and the conference dates change, we will be in touch to make sure you are still available to attend. There is also the option to present your talk virtually!
