Description/Proposal

So you've heard about Git, and perhaps you've even been using it. In this session, we will take an in depth look at what Git is, how it works and how to use it. We will start by setting up and configuring Git on your local machines and getting comfortable with the basics. Then we'll move on to Git's three tree architecture, good practices, branches and some popular methodologies. We'll finish of by taking a look as some great tools for Git as well as some hosting solutions like Github, Bitbucket and Gitlab. After this workshop, you will have a good understanding of what Git is, why its believed to be superior to other Version Control Systems, and how use it.
