The idea that software developers work alone in the basement is so yesteryear! With the amount of new technology released every week, its hard to keep up with best practices and finding out what you don't know you don't know, especially on your own. In this talk, we will take a look at why community is important and how you can become a part of it. We will also take a look at good mentorship, what it takes to be a mentor, as well as the importance of having a mentor. And finally, we'll be talking about Open Source Software, and how you can get involved in it!
