I’ve been involved in my local Code for America brigade, Code for Fort Collins, for years. I’ve been running it since the start of 2018. In that time, I’ve learned a lot about using technology to work on solving problems faced by governments and non-profits. This talk is a distillation to help you understand what CFA Brigades are like, how you can use your skills in one, and what you’ll learn in the process. We'll also touch on details like what Code for America is, how you can go about starting a brigade, and what (other than good feelings) you'd get from that experience.
