Bio (Jim)

James speaks and writes about existing and new technology stacks, particularly Laravel, PHP, JavaScript, React, IDEs, AWS and Developer Relations as a field. He's currently the Developer Advocate at Jump24, a Laravel partnered studio in Birmingham, UK. He is also an advocate for the wider technology industry, speaking about developer experience, tech culture, open source software, developer communities and wider Developer Relations research. He founded Birmingham’s PHP user group, BrumPHP, in 2017. In 2019, he joined the Fusion Technology Meetup team as the community lead.
