It is a very common scenario: the business starts with a new WordPress site to have a fresh online presence, and the marketing is very eager to put it to work to generate actual leads. With time, developers are asked to create integrated forms, add records to the CRM on submission, create demo accounts of the company's products, ... The fact that you could integrate these processes directly into the WordPress site does not necessarily mean that you should. This talk goes into the reasons why doing so might be bad, and how to better play to the strengths of WordPress while avoiding the pitfalls.
