Shawn McCool is a professional software engineer with 27 years of industry experience. He specializes in highly-concurrent and resilient message-driven systems.

During the day, Shawn engineers the core transaction processing system for the payment processing company Mollie BV. At night, he focuses on mastering the Erlang virtual machine and designing and developing software for single-board systems such as Raspberry Pi.

Shawn authored and has made freely available a video course about Event Sourcing called Event Sourcery.
